The Furniture
Marc spent his childhood summers in Alligator, Mississippi, where he was inspired by the rustic but elegant tenant house furniture that farmers made from whatever material they had at hand. He spent years salvaging wideboard cypress from Delta buildings amassing a collection of much-sought-after boards. His signature style stems from letting the salvaged wood determine what it will become: a bed, bench, dining table, side table, end table, bookshelf, cabinet, desk, barstool, you name it. High profile clients across the country have commissioned him. He built a conference table for the Honors College at Ole Miss, an entrance table for the FedEx house at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, a dining room table for the Southern Living Idea House that appeared on the cover of the magazine. He’s been featured on television shows and in numerous publications. He works closely with clients to match his furniture to their taste and decor. Each piece is one-of-a-kind.
